While scrolling through http://www.thisiscolossal.com/ I was drawn to a video (http://www.thisiscolossal.com/2015/01/a-bioluminescent-forest-created-with-digital-projection-mapping/) by the artists Tarek Mowad (http://www.tarekmawad.com/) and Friedrich van Schoor (http://www.vanscore.com/) who created a luminescent forest. Both artists are from Saarbrucken, Germany. Mowad works with 3D animation, projection mapping, and photography. van Schoor works with 3D animation and projection mapping.
The way the artists captured the forest in such a detailed way really impressed me. The objects used ranged in size from something as small as a frog to something as tall as a tree. I was inspired by their work because it shows how today's technology can create something beautiful like this. I've seen projection mapping done before but never in such an intricate way and for that I thoroughly enjoyed this piece.
